Art Requirements


  Jungle Art Guidelines, and supplying Digital Files

  SPOT COLOR: (for screen printing)

  • General Guidelines: Eps vector art only, with all type converted to outlines/curves. Please call if you have only non-vector / bitmap files. Additional color separation charges will apply.

  • CorelDRAW 9.0 or lower and Adobe Illustrator 10.0 or lower - Mac or PC is acceptable. Convert all type fonts to outlines (Do not send fonts). Assign Pantone spot (coated) colors to all components. Do not place scans or bitmaps in file - vector art only.

  • Quark Files? must be re-saved as eps file (we do not accept quark files). Import / open Quark file into Adobe Illustrator, assign Pantone spot (coated) colors to all components (No CMYK colors), convert all type fonts to outlines, re-save and send as an Illustrator eps file. No scans or bitmaps can be part of the file - vector art only.

  • OTHER Files - We generally do not accept files from any other programs for Spot Color Separations. Converting and color separating files in other formats such as Freehand, Pagemaker, Powerpoint, Word, etc, will be charged out at $40 per hour and quoted separately. Please call before sending these files to the art department.

  4 - COLOR PROCESS: (for screen printing)

  • Jpeg (RGB) tif (CMYK), and Adobe Photoshop files are all acceptable for 4-color process on white/light shirts. The Resolution must be 200 ? 300 dpi at 100% (full size of print area). Normally type, solid lines & fill areas and specific reference colors are additional spot colors.

  • Jungle art dept can scan customer provided photos and negatives, and add borders and type as needed.

  Digital Heat Transfers:

  • Most digital files are suitable for digital heat transfers as long as Jungle has the software to read the files. Jungle art dept can scan customer provided photos and negatives, and add borders and type as needed. Enlarging low resolution files or small scanned pictures may result in ?pixelation? or jagged and fuzzy final images.

  Embroidery Disks:

  • Jungle can create embroidery disks from any original artwork and photos/scans of original art, sketches and drawings or select from our stock fonts.

  • Most digital files are suitable for digitizing an embroidery disk, as long as Jungle has the software to read the files. 

  • Jungle uses Tajima formatted embroidery disks (**.dst). If you have previously had your logo digitized, email the disk to art@junglestuff.com.

  Logo Development:

  • Jungle has a full service art department and can create logos and designs for all purposes and occasions. Please call / email your sales rep or contact info@junglestuff.com for more information.

  E-mailing Files:

  • Send all art to art@junglestuff.com. Please include a color jpeg file along with the original file as reference. Note the PO # or Customer name in ?Subject? of email. Include all print specifications (PMS colors, image size, image placement, etc.) along with your name and telephone number in the body of the email, and ask for a return receipt that Jungle has received the email. Large or Multiple files can be ?zipped? or ?stuffed?.
